Rentrée de l’Ordre des Avocats français au Barreau de Bruxelles
As second vice President of the Federatioin, I’ve attended the Rentrée de l’Ordre des Avocats français au Barreau de Bruxelles on last 21-23 January.
Really a very interesting meeting, for the perfect organization, the professional and institutional profile of all the speakers, the choice of the theme - the lawyers’ legal privilege in the european case law-, particularly concrete and actual.
During the conference we have noticed that there are, of course, important differences between the legislations of the european Countries, and, above all, between those of german- romanic tradition and the anglo-saxon ones.
There are also, in some countries, differences between litigation and transation work, bu we can say that, usually, the lawyer can testify with the permission of the client.
In the afternoon of friday 22 january, I’ve attended the "Opening Ceremony" in the same Palais de Justice, a very suggestive and involvin’ moment at the presence of the highest Authorities of belgian Advocacy and Magistracy and the delegations of many Bars from all the world.
