The Consiglio Nazionale Forense and Scuola Superiore dell’Avvocatura were holding a colloquium on Human Rights and the training of lawyers. The input was outstanding. President Guido ALPA, chairman of the CNF, as well as Alarico MARIANI MARINI, president of the Scuola Superiore dell’Avvocatura, had perfectly defined the issue. European lawyers who wish to practice in France may do so within the framework of the 1998 Establishment Directive under their original title. Any practise under the French title requires to be sanctioned through an exam which, for most of them, will be mainly based on ethics. Bertrand PAGES 1 – Présentation du Barreau de RENNES Le Barreau de Rennes compte, au 1er mai 2010, 554 avocats inscrits dont 287 femmes et 267 hommes. La parité est donc presque parfaite. Notre Ordre comprend également 43 avocats honoraires dont 37 hommes et 6 femmes. La moyenne d’âge du Barreau est de 40 ans, 37 ans pour les femmes, 43 ans pour les hommes. La commission des libertés civiles du Parlement européen a adopté, le 8 avril dernier, un rapport relatif à la proposition de directive visant à introduire de nouvelles mesures pour garantir aux citoyens européens un accès à la traduction et à l’interprétation dans leur propre langue dans le cadre de procédures pénales. L’Avocat général Juliane Kokott a rendu ses conclusions, le 29 avril dernier, dans l’affaire « Akzo Nobel Chemicals Ltd e.a. / Commission européenne » (aff. C-550/07 P). La Commission européenne a publié, le 26 avril dernier, une décision portant création d’un groupe d’experts pour un cadre commun de référence dans le domaine du droit européen des contrats. Il aura pour mission d’aider la Commission à élaborer une proposition de cadre commun de référence dans le domaine du droit des contrats.
