Controversy around the issue of CD German taxpayers: by their respective national federations, the German and Swiss lawyers are warning.

The Deutsche Anwaltverein (DAV) and the Schweizerische Anwaltsverband (SAV) condem in a joint declaration the intention of the German Government to purchase from a thief a CD-ROM with stolen data of banking clients suspected of tax evasion. Even if the goal, to prohibit tax evasion is legitimate, this does not justify that a government may put himself on the same level as the thief. (...)
