The FBE Presidency together with the past presidents Michele Lucherini and Silvia Gimenez Salinas took part in the Assises de la Méditerranée held under title: “l’Avocat et le Tribunal Mediatique” organised by the Nice Bar Association (Ordre des Avocats au Barreau de Nice). The speeches focused on different legal and ethical  issues regarding the relationship between Lawyers and the omnipresent media. Vivid discussions followed the speeches at the lunch giving opportunity to the exchange of views and good practices concerning publishing information and making statements by lawyers about the cases they are pleading. As the FBE President Bas Martens stated in his opening speech: ”The FBE owes a huge debt of gratitude to the Nice Bar Association and to the organizing committee which, with so much and effort, organized this conference. You have a true heart for the legal profession that transcends daily practice. Many thanks to you all!”
