This year’s theme, Legal Reasoning in the Age of GenAI, will focus on enhancing legal skills, promoting ethical awareness and fostering innovation through prompt-based legal practice. Participants’ prompting skills will be tested through legal case studies, which may relate to one of the following areas: new technologies law, intellectual property law or access to justice.

Please read the Terms and Conditions carefully and submit your application form by August 31, 2025, to participate.

The final will take place in Lucca, Italy, on October 9, 2025, as a side event to the second edition of the international conference on artificial intelligence “AI – Balancing Freedom, Security and Democracy” (Lucca, October 10-11, 2025). Finalists will be invited to participate in the conference, giving them the opportunity to engage with leading experts and practitioners in the field of AI and law. The participation of a representative from the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) in both the competition and the conference is anticipated.

During final Participants may use any of the following free versions of GenAI conversational tools: ChatGPT (OpenAI), Gemini (Google), Copilot (Microsoft), Claude (Anthropic), or Perplexity (Perplexity AI).
